Glass wool felt has fluffy and interlaced fibers and a large number of tiny pores. It is a typical porous sound-absorbing material with good sound-absorbing properties. When sound waves are incident on glass wool, they enter the material through the pores, causing the air molecules in the pores to vibrate. Due to the viscous resistance of the air and the friction between the air molecules and the pore walls, the sound energy is converted into heat energy and lost.
Suitable for insulation of various types of cold and hot pipes and hidden and exposed pipes.
